The Medical Journal of Bakırköy is the official scientific journal of the Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital. It covers subjects on general medicine, published only in English, and is independent, open-access, peer-reviewed, international periodical and is published quarterly (March, June, September and December).

The Medical Journal of Bakırköy is indexed in Scopus, Emerging Source Citation Index, Ebsco HOST, J-Gate, Embase, CINAHL, Index Copernicus, ScopeMed, EuroPub, Worldcat, Infobase, Ulrich's Database, TUBİTAK Türkiye Tıp Dizini, ROOT INDEXING, IdealOnline, Türk Atıf Dizini and Türk Medline.

AIMS and SCOPE

The Medical Journal of Bakırköy aims to to publish original research papers of the highest scientific and clinic value on general medicine. Additionally, educational material reviews on basic developments, short editorial notes and case reports are published.

The Medical Journal of Bakırköy encourages and enables academicians, researchers, specialists and primary care physicians to publish their valuable research in all branches of medicine.

Copyright Issues

The author(s) transfer(s) the copyright to his/their article to The Medical Journal of Bakırköy effective if and when the article is accepted for publication. The copyright covers the exclusive and unlimited rights to reproduce and distribute the article in any form of reproduction (printing, electronic media or any other form); it also covers translation rights for all languages and countries.

After receiving and accept decision for publication, submissions must be accompanied by the “Copyright Transfer Statement”. The form is available for download on the journal’s manuscript submission and evaluation site. The copyright transfer form should be signed by all contributing authors and a scanned version of the wet signed document should be submitted.

Open Access Statement and Article Submission Charges

The Medical Journal of Bakırköy provides open access to scientific publications. The full texts of the articles are available free of charge right after the journal is published.

No fees are charged from authors for article submission, processing or publication.

Readers can download articles, case reports and reviews free of charge for academic / educational use. The journal is free for everyone at any time. In order to achieve this, the journal benefits from the financial resources of Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University and the ongoing voluntary efforts of the editors and referees.
