ABSTRACT

Morgagni hernias are rare congenital diafragmatic hernias and 90% of Morgagni hernias are seen on the rigt side. Transverse colon, omentum, stomach, liver and small intestines can be found in the hernia sac. Gastrointestinal and respiratory system symptoms compose the most often symptoms of the disease. A Morgagni hernia admitted to our clinic with dyspnea symtoms and supported by mechanic ventilation is presented in this report.

Mechanic ventilation may replace the diaphragmatic hernias to the in original place by its positive pressure. ‹n follow up of congenital diaphragmatic hernia patients, effect of mechanic ventilation should be kept in mind.
