ABSTRACT

Lately, advances in science and technology showed their impact also in healthcare services, influencing the formation of new service areas such as tele-health and tele-nursing. Tele-health services help especially care management and improving life qualities of clients with chronic diseases. Furthermore, decreasing the care cost is also aimed, via reducing hospital and emergency referrals and incidence of house care visits. Nurses, who possess an important part in the tele-health system, have roles such as critical thinking, producing knowledge, communication and using innovations. In this study, roles of nurses in tele-health services are analyzed.
