ABSTRACT

Superonasal conjunctival dermoid cysts are, rarely seen congenital coristomas. As a complication normal tissues can be affected by local inflamation or mass affect. We report a case of 65 year old woman who has a dermoid cyst superonasally located near the canalicular region. The patient presented with medial canthal lesion, visual field defect and epiphora. Orbital magnetic resonance images showed dermoid cyst like lesion. As a treatment mass removed intact and canalicular dilatation was done. Also results of histopathologic evaluations confirmed the diagnosis of conjunctival dermoid cyst. After treatment, no complication occured. Partial decrease in epiphora was observed.
